SUMMARY
To train and develop all drivers in order to assure route efficiency and profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage timekeeper for Drivers - monitor hours/overtime.

Primary backup dispatcher.

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

Oversees that the training and development of all drivers is completed.

Promotes Innovation and Creativity throughout the organization.

Handles customer inquiries and resolves complaints or service calls in an effective, timely professional manner.

Visits trade to ensure drivers are performing to company standards.

Performs route rides.

Reviews productivity logs and driver manifests for accuracy.

Investigates all distribution vehicle accidents.

Responsible for pre-employment road tests.

Issues written and oral instructions.

Follows all safety policies and procedures in compliance with all local, state and federal safety regulatory agencies.

Performs other duties as assigned by Distribution Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Coolift and Advanced market Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or; training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a CDL Class A license.
