The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel.
- The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Housepersonfunctions include:
- Stockingroom attendants carts with supplies.
- Rotatinglinens and stocking linens in storerooms.
- Maintainingshelf organization in the storerooms.
- Replenishingstoreroom supplies.
- Removingtrash and dirty linens from room attendant carts.
- Cleaningfurniture, elevators, glass, planters, etc.
in public areas such as lobby, pool and public restrooms.
- Cleaningand set up of meeting room functions.
- Sweepingand vacuuming floors, hallways, and stairwells.
- Reportingmaintenance problems or completing work repair orders.
- Cleaningwalls, carpets, light fixtures, window, elevator, etc.
- Assistingthe Engineering staff when necessary.
- Deliveringspecial request items such as cribs, roll-a-ways, and blow dryers to guestrooms.
- Pickingup trash from parking lot and garden areas.
